So, what do you do with your change. Do you horde it until you've amassed enough nickle to make a solid nickle pistol, or ???
I just bought a 10 dollar sorter the other day, because my new wallet doesn't have the nifty change pocket in it like my old one ( 6 years old ). So, all my change is now being thrown in the sorter and rolled. I'm just going to roll and save the rolls in a hidden location, and at the end of the year, going to the bank and collecting my reward.
Inspired by our local coin collector, I made this poll.this post contains small bits of intelligence culminating to the appearance of wisdom.

I use it instead of breaking bills, as long as it's something quick to add up and put together.
Several times a year, the amassed change in my car comes in VERY handy during financial emergencies, such as a late night Taco Bell craving a female 'associate' was having. I don't like to disappoint!

I'd hate to be in-line behind you Warty.

I just dump a zip-lock freezer bag-full into the coin-counter machine at the grocery store every 6 months. Costs 50 cents and use the issued receipt for stuff like, oh,... beer.

Toad - No way, I'm one of the fastest people you'll ever see in a line. In a grocery store, I get all my food up on the conveyor belt very fast and efficiently, already have everything ready, if I use my debit card, I know EXACTLY how to work the SUPER COMPLEX swipe machine
. I'm super fast at grabbing and counting change. I hate stupid and slow people and know what it feels like to wait behind someone who is both.

Save it in jars as soon as I walk in the door...by the time I counted it last time I saved up, I had over $400 in change!

at the poll choices!

The only time I usually get change is from paying for school lunches. It the goes into my front right pocket. When (if) I goto work, it is moved to my front right coat pocket. When I go home, it is taken out and tossed into a upside down cover to a 50-CDR Spindle. When that fills, I count and roll and put in the safe in my closet.
Generally I have about $40 - $80 in the spindle.

The only time I carry change is when I buy something and the cashier gives me change back. I take it home and put it in a baking soda cylinder. Eventually I'll take it to the bank and cash it in, I suppose. I hate change, and I hate crap that costs $4.99 or $8.38. I'd much rather have them round up to the nearest dollar than deal with the change I get back.

My bank has free coin counting, not to mention the fact that my mom works for my bank, and the branch I frequent the most. So, that's not a problem.
If I wanted to spend my change on piddly stuff, I'd keep it on me, and buy everyone coffee.
I figure, if I can manage to save enough money in coin to make a nice sized purchase, I might just be able to squeeze a new digital camera into the scene without feeling the hurt on the bank roll.this post contains small bits of intelligence culminating to the appearance of wisdom.

I use it to prevent from getting awkward amounts of change in future transactions. If something costs $4.83 and I only have a 5 with some change, I'll pay $5.83 to get exactly $1 change.
Change is also great for vending machines. Change is the miracle that somehow always adds up to the amount it takes to buy hot chocolate from the vending machines.

I got a drawer that I throw all of my change in . Roll it up when I feel like it and take it to a local hardware store who will give me solid bills for it. They are glad when I come in because the bank charges them to get change.
Otherwise it's also good for the car wash and tollway when I rarely go.

Actually none of the guys that have ever come around has complained. They must think "its money-I can spend it" or some other arcane philosophy.
