Is Lindsay Lohan fake?

Lindsay Lohan's live singing debut wasn't entirely live. The 18-year-old actress admitted to using a "guide vocal" for her performance on GMA last week, but she said there was nothing wrong with that. "I didn't lip-synch. I sang every word," she said. "The track was rock 'n' roll, and I need a backing track to pump up my vocals." The incident occurred shortly after Lohan told the media that she would never lip-synch and would only record songs "I could also sing live and sound just as good as I did on the CD."

I saw her on some morning show - maybe it was GMA, not sure. She was obviously lip synching though... or I should say, doing an extremely poor job of it.

Gasp! Swoon! All these pop stars use guide vocals. They have been doing it for years! Yeesh.

Real bands, and by real bands I mean bands that don't sell on their pop-stardom, don't use them because they don't need to sound just like the album. But when you get a stadium full of teeny-boppers, they want to hear the CD, not live stuff. That's just the way the business works.

Here we go again. Didn't this conversation take place regarding Ashley Simpson who won best new female artist of the year???? hmmmmm......

Several artists use "Backing tracks & or Guide Vocals", it doesn't mean she can't sing.

Only Ashley Simpson really can't sing. It took them like 40 takes to get the vocal track for her first single.

Avril's on tour now and she's been on Oprah and Regis and sang live and did it EXTREMELY well!!!!!!!!! Lay off Avril. She is indeed a very talented artist. She writes her own music and sings <------ her music. She is indeed 100%.

She co-writes her music. I'm not sure about the first album, but I know Butch Walker co-wrote a few songs on her new one, including the first single, IIRC. Maybe it was the second.

I assume that's why American Hi-Fi and Butch were on tour with her.
