I went to the hospital 2 weeks ago with a viral infection. They took x-rays, gave me medicine sent me home. The next day they called to say they had found some problems with my x-rays. I went to the DR to find out I have an enlarged heart, and I am overwieght, and I smoke too much DUH!!
Since then I have been on a moderate diet, cut down the smoking, and been doing a lot more physical activities. Working for my dad on the farm, walking, building a 4x4 with my son, and so on. I am finding that I feel much better, and am losing wieght. 36 is way too young to have a heart attack, or stroke. I would like to encourage anyone that works at computers alot, while they are fun, and interesting, get out and exercise. I sat at my computers all the time up until now. You may have noticed I'm not here as much as usual, this is why. So that's all I had to say. Good Day All.

Amen . When I was growing up I was a serious couch potato. I started cycling at about 13 with a friend and have been at it ever since. I ride about 45mins to an hour a day, which isn't as much as I'd like but I do it competitively (18-25mph on my own and 25-30mph with a group) .. If I do it daily I feel MUCH better - much less stressed etc. |

Living in the big city is supposed to already take off 5 years of life expectancy...why not beat the odds. The missus is always looking out for what I eat but I treat myself to a bucket of the Colonel's finger-licking good fried chicken once a year. Gotta give the eyeballs a rest after a few hours staring at the screens at work so I always make it a point to walk for 1/2 hour at lunch. |

Step 1, save money to buy a bike
Step 2, hmm new puter for 300 bucks or new bike for 300
Step 3, pick up parts for new puter, hell with it I can use a puter 24/7 and a bike for only 7 hours a day, and 24 days a month
I'm a scrawny guy so maybe if I sit on my butt more someday I'll actually gain weight
I quit smoking, that didn't help me at all LOL
hmm maybe if I ate at least once a day...
nah that can't be it |
