CHICK publications, anyone hear of them

I found a religious comic by CHICK publications one day and I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of them. I found it to be quite offensive. Here is a copy of it.

Yeah, we used to have like 1600 Chick Bible Tracts wallpapering our bathroom. They shared the sacred space with National Enquirer articles. I think they're published by the same people.

Oh yea, Fark.com has a link to them occasionally. Most of the comics are exetremly pessimistic about whatever the subject matter is. I can't see them actually converting anyone with them. They just seem to be ego-inflators for the people who wrote them orginally.

That remix was excellent. Excellent in a manner that for what it's worth, it's just as true as any other faith.

Now that I've thought about it for a little bit I'll like to take back my former statement. My new theory is that the Chick Tracts were a side project of MAD magazine that were never supposed to be taken seriously.
