Mcdonalds should not be responsible for your education on how healthy their food is, their only job is to serve you the food. Providing the food contents is a good thing but telling you what is good for you and what is not is not their job.
People dont even need to be educated in neutrition to know mcdonalds food is unhealthy, they should know if they eat it often they will gain weight, fast food is something people should do on occasion and when they make it a regular thing its their fault.
If mcdonalds educated their customers guess what would happen, they would loose buisness, do they want that? No so they don't. Should mcdonalds loose buisness because were too lazy to educate ourselevs or eat elsewhere?

Hey, I'm gonna go sue Hershey's because my "Only Chocolate Diet" has caused me to have diabetes, and they failed to educate me that this would happen. |

1. The following contents contain unhealthy substances, if you consume a large quanity you will become fat.
2. You are aware the risk's involved in eating the contents in this package.
3. In no way are we liable for excessive consumption of the product resulting in weight gain or harm done to your body.
By eating the contents of this package you are accepting the terms of this user agreement. |

Did a little more homework on this suit.
They were not being sued explicitly for their use of TFA's. They were being sued because several years ago they made a lot of noise/publicity about the fact that they were phasing out the use of oils containing TFA's in the preparation of their products. However, they did not make good on this claim, nor did they announce that they had not made good on the claim. Thus, they were sued. Nothing frivolous about it. Big business only cares about one thing. No harm in doing what is required to keep them in check.
All that being said, most of this discussion is irrelavant with regards to the lawsuit. |

Sorta on topic, everyone must agree that the lawsuit where the woman burnt herself with hot coffee and sued mcdonalds is ridiculous. |
