| People unclear on the concept Quote: Sex motive behind wife's slaying, prosecutors say
Mistress, daughter testify as ex-Christian school leader ordered to stand trial
By Eric Weslander, Journal-World
Thursday, March 10, 2005
Prosecutors alleged Wednesday that a well-known carpenter and former Christian school leader strangled his wife so he could pursue relationships with other women. "It's very clear that ... divorce was not an option, that it was frowned upon by the Lord, he believed," Assistant Dist. Atty. Brandon Jones said. "This was the easier way out for him, rather than divorce."
At the time of his wife's death, Martin K. "Marty" Miller, 46, was advertising himself on Internet dating sites and having an affair with a woman he'd met in an online adult chat room, according to testimony at Miller's preliminary hearing in District Court.

Divorce was frowned upon?
Hos 5:4, "Their deeds will not allow them to return to their God. For a spirit of harlotry is within them, and they do not know the LORD."
Heb 13:4, "Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge." |

An atheist would have gotten a divorce and a life would have been spared.

Come on, I'm sure atheists and muslims and jews and somebody from every other religion or lack thereof kill people everyday, and some of them even kill their wives.

You want me to say because he was a Christian? You know why he killed his wife, and that isn't the reason. |

His decision was made based on his religion. Divorce wasn't an option due to his religious beliefs and the hassle he would have to endure.
An atheist has one less reason to kill his wife than he did.
Cheers! |

I have observed many Christians who use their religion like a battleaxe, unfortunately.
To these people, their Christianity is a pardon for their crappy ethics.
It is not a 'LIMITING' factor to these creeps, but rather a sort of "free pass" to screw people over. I guess their thinking goes something like, "What the hey, I'm forgiven, HAHAHAHAHAA!"
The current Administration is a pretty good example of this (that's a 'cheap shot', I know, but it's true, IMO.)
Killers. Yeah, I'd say that's pretty unclear on the concept! |
