Can we have a moment of silence please...

Mr. Blub Blub, our family goldfish, has passed into the other world. AKA the sewer.

    LOL

I put him in a new tank today and I am pretty sure that is what killed him. I got a free 5 gallon aquarium from work and am preparing it for a pet turtle. New water, large gardening cinder blocks for the turtle to crawl up on, filter off my old aquarium, the works. Well, he was pretty old for a comet and didn't take to well to the change.

Nothing, the fish was a gift from a wedding and I frankly didn't care if the little bottom sucker died. Anna wasn't overly broken up either. She watched me flush it.

*note to others people don't want to take home your goldfish that you used as a centerpiece after a wedding

Ahh, one of those are you. The fish was just about a year old. That is a pretty long life for a feeder goldfish.

Doesn't matter. You could have artificially sustained his life for 10+ years.

    LOL

Can you put a feeding tube in a goldfish with a little respirator? I could see it now, my daughter fighting with me about pulling the plug.

A feeder fish lasting a year in a small fish tank is very good! The feeder fish that we put into our bigger pond are now big gold fish.

    RIP.

They do that. Grow, and grow, and well, eat and poop then grow some more.
