I disagree. It was quite aerodynamic when compared to other cars of the era.
Really, the issue here is that you think I'm lying. That irritates me.

April 16th, 2005, 05:21 PM #36980's sports cars were cool.

Down a hill, sure it will. Hell, if the hill is long and steep enough, gravity alone will accellerate it to that speed.

April 16th, 2005, 05:27 PM #374Yeah, but not at 145 miles per hour. Actually, it all depends upon the drag and mass of the object.

I think I'll go hop in my Neon Highline (top speed of about 90) and drive recklessly to somewhere I can get food. Then I'll come back (recklessly) and it won't have taken me any more time than it would have if I had driven a 911 Turbo because speed limits exist for a reason! Whoah.
-
April 16th, 2005, 05:28 PM #376
Yeah, but just think, Whir....You'd get there in style with a 911 Turbo!
-
April 16th, 2005, 05:29 PM #377you would get to 60 faster than anyone else. driving itself become more pleasurable.

The guy who owned the GT-S got to drive around in a (I think) '78 911 Turbo that a guy we worked with owns and restored from the ground up. He said he started to get scared at 160. Not sure if he was fibbing or not. But that's fast. Really fast. Even in a Porsche.
-
April 16th, 2005, 05:35 PM #379yea, over 150 is scary, no doubt about it.

April 16th, 2005, 05:35 PM #380160 isnt that fast in a porsche that car should feel really nice at those speeds. they are built for it. i could understand being scared at those speeds if the car wasnt meant for it such as the supsension and brakes arent going to slow you down good and whatnot
