Unfortunately, the only time I will ever purchase another RWD vehicle is if I have enough money to have a nice "secondary" AWD/4WD vehicle to use when winter conditions are less than favourable. |

I never had troubles with my RWDs in snow or ice. Learn how to drive them.
(and put sand bags in the trunk!) |

I won't drive that if there's snow on the ground. The LTD handles just fine for the snow, plus the tires are skinnier. And if I do so happen turn into a bowling ball on an icy road, I'd rather be behind the wheel of a $800 tank than a $26,000 coupe. |

I've done that in a $20K sedan (that wasn't mine). It's not all that fun.
Stupid deer. |

I have been driving my car the past week and it has been working great. (1963 bel air). The temperature here just dropped from 80 to mid 40's and yesterday when I went to drive it the brakes went mushy. My foot hits the floor and I have to pump it once to get the brakes to work with any strength.
I had a problem with mushy brakes the beggining of the year but after bleeding they have worked awsome until now.
I have not checked my brake fluid, I will probably look at that this afternoon while replacing my heatercore.
What would be your first guess on whats wrong? Does cold weather effect brake fluid? |
