Recommended for what? The tire or the vehicle? Either way, it's probably too low, especially when the weather gets colder. |

I took my truck in right before I leftfor Kentucky to get the tires rotated and asked them to put in a little bit more air into the tires than normal and he said that he put in 2-3lbs more in each tire. He said that if he went any much more, the tread would start to wear unevenly.
I was able to squeeze out 50 miles more from my tank of gas.

His son seemed to be having the time of his life as the dad did little bursts of acceleration (Slowing down then speeding back up to the speed limit) As usual when I pass a car I really like, I give them a thumbs up. The dad then slowed the 50 and popped it in second gear and left about a 15' long black mark as he sped back up to 75 and then gave me a thumbs up.
Yesterday when driving around, I passed an old 56 Ford, don't know what kind. It has a blue paint job very similar to Grabber Blue, but a hint lighter. I gave the guy a thumbs up and he had the biggest smile on his face after seeing me.
Boerne Texas is really big on classic cars. Just last month we had a huge Hot Rod parade down mainstreet. Over 500 classic hotrods were registered, with most of them living in the Boerne-San Antonio area. It was a blast |

2lbs of air over the norm shouldn't hurt your tires at all, nor your ride quality. If you got better mileage because of it, then good for you. I'd trust the guys at discount to hook you up proper. Besides, their air gauges read to the tenth of a PSI.
Oh, and Solo...I found your truck! |

Yeah, those Z06's are nice. I was able to play around with one before I left the Chevy dealer I worked at. There isn't much around that drives like one. |

You need to be really careful about tire inflation during the winter especially. In wet/icy conditions its recommended that you slightly under inflate your tires so as to increase traction and the grip your tires get on the road. If you're in any type of condition where you are worried about fishtailing or snow etc. your tires should def be a couple lbs under inflated. Sorry if i'm stating the obvious, just wanted to be sure. |
