Changed the spark plugs and wires in the jeep with the factory champion plugs and some generic wires.
Seems the previous owner had some decent Bosch platinums in there. Too bad he didn't do his research....Bosch platinums actually give the 4.0 a worse idle and overall less smooth feel.
Jeep definitely responded nicely, but nothing dramatic since there are far too many other things hindering its feel right now. I got pissed off though, because on the 6th one I snapped the new spark plug in half. Luckily I was able to get it out and ran up to advance in time before it closed.

I admit to using platinum plugs in most vehicles, but the Talon gets good old NGK copper plugs.

I really need to do the wires and plugs, rotor and cap in the dakota, god only knows how long they've been in there ( I know the wires aren't original ). I'd like to get the brass contract style cap and rotor if I can find them.
Biggest problem I have is free time lately....I'll be working sunday nights straight through the rest of the month, which really throws off a guys schedule for doing much of anything.....if I get lucky, I'll get to go out fishing one more time this year |

For under 40 bucks and less than an hours worth of work, it was definitely worth it.
I also just cleaned up the throttlebody a bit with a wirebrush...so much grime came off. I tried to avoid letting any fall into it, but it was inevitable that some small particles would. Didn't really notice a difference, but I really wasn't expecting to on a quick job.
Now to save up for a bored out T/B, hiflow cat, hi flow muffler, a CAI, oh and...a supercharger (which then means a new rear end because this dana35 would never hold up to that!)
Oh wait...I was dreaming about having money there for a second.

Anyone know where the trunk pop is on a 00 Durango? Can't find it to save my life.
Nevermind, I figured it out. Shares the door locks. Silly Dodge. |

Gah!!!! I'm getting closer and closer to a new vehicle, but it just isn't close enough!!!
So far, the Patriot is off of my list. It is just way to slow to even want to deal with driving.
Ranger vs Tacoma showdown, hehe

I'd go Tacoma. Altho I've never personally driven one I've ridden in them and they have a great ride for a truck and my friends last Tacoma lasted over 200k miles till it took a dive.
