In the hill country there are a few rich people. I've seen ferarris and lambos driving around boerne before, but those don't even come close to how rare the 62s is.
I remember that when the Discovery CHannel first did a segment on the new 62s (Back in 2006) they said that only 150 were planned on being made for US clients.
There are only two Myabach dealerships in Texas, one in Houston and another in Dallas.
However, the 62s is no longer the top of the range. For 2009 they released a Convertable version of the 62s (Yeah, a 20 foot long convertable) and then there is the one off Maybach Exelero which can be had for a cool $8 million.

I've been watching Knight Rider on hulu and there are a lot of extremely rare and expensive cars.
In the first two episodes, I have seen:
C8 Spyker Welcome to the website of Spyker Cars | Spykercars
Predator Extreme (A very ugly Romanian built Merciallago rip off)
Maybach 62s
Mercedes McClaren SLR
Maserati Quattroportte
TVR Tuscan (With some ugly vinyles on it)
Saleen S7
Ford GT
Compared to those cars, the star of the show being a Mustang/Ford F150 Crew Cab seems kind of boring. |

I'm sure it's built to be just as safe as that smart car is. Besides, get hit by a semi in that or a ford F150 and you have about the same chances of survival. |

Unless they've discovered some form of technology/engineering from another planet...I don't see how it's safe..at all. Even a 40mph crash from your standard pickup/suv would demolish the rear passenger. |

One thing to keep in mind with cars like the Smart car is that their safety ratings are a comparitive rating, meaning to other cars in it's class
The Smart Car and others in it's calss are so small and light, that even if the cabin remains in-tact during an accident with a bigger vehicle, you'll probably still get killed from the massive deceleration that you'd experience (G forces). Getting crushed isn't the only way to die in an accident.
