Definitely wasn't added for power, but looks and sound. | I had Bassanis on mine...the straight-through type. Didn't mind it in stop-and-go driving, but I wanted to blow my brains out on the highway trips. Corsa makes drone-free mufflers, but are very expensive. If I get mufflers down the road, I'd go with these. |

I always feel people tend to forget about the handling aspect of it and just shoot for power.
| You ever seen the live-axle 'Stang skitter it's ass-end over a railroad crossing? Kinda sexay.
My SVT Cobra(sold 6 mo ago) had Magnaflows. No drone and easy on the ears at light throttle, but sounded like a Sprint Cup car with your foot in it. Not blatty, snarly or abrasive like the flowmasters. |

I have to replace the system this summer. I'm gonna throw the cat back on ( high flow ) and going with a quiet dual exhaust. I don't want the noise anymore...I'm sick of it. Besides, it's a V6. I can't afford to put twin super turbo chargers with 8 inch pistons in it with two sizes of injectors |

They only really open up at WOT, and then you can tell it's definitely not stock.

Hmmm. Soon going to order some Ford 19lb injectors for my 4.0 Roughly 15% mpg increase on average and more power, due to the much better 4 hole spray pattern.
Hopefully that will completely clear up my slight rough idle at operating temperature. (I'm so nit picky on a 20 yr old Jeep motor! ) |
