Yup, it's nicest when you can buy a car on your terms instead of the " crap, the car broke, we need to get a new one ASAP! ". |

What are the odds on 01 Nissan Sentra 1.8 liter engine going into a 91 Nissan Stanza?

Sounds like a lot of work in my book. Need all the wiring, everything. Mounts are probably different, I also foresee quite a bit of fabrication. A transmission mated for that exact motor, etc.
Then again, I'm no nismo expert.

Anyone read the recent news on the GT-R Spec V? Over 3600 pounds. Limited to 80 seconds of continuous overboost. ~$45,000 brake job. The sad part is people are probably already on waiting lists to buy it.
Wonder how many overboosts until Nissan voids the warranty?

Have you seen the times it has run at Nurburgring though? Quite impressive. |

Wonder how many overboosts until Nissan voids the warranty? | Why the goddamn hell would a brake job be so expensive? |

Wonder how many overboosts until Nissan voids the warranty? | What a joke
Nissan needs to realize it's place in the automotive industry. It is not an exotic brand and never will be, so stop charging like one! Besides, what kind of vehicle is designed for performance but has all these limiting factors? Again I restate myself...what a joke.

Spark plugs changed on the Jeep Saturday. Old ones were in OK shape so I was right on time with changing them. Noticed my #1 cylinder plug wire was rusted (wtf?) while all the others came out clean. Regardless I changed all the plugs anyways with a new set. Throttle response improved slightly and a little power was regained. (probably that rusty wire)
Next stop, replace the cat as it's making a nice odd "chopping" sound under acceleration. At first I thought it was something internal engine wise (and I was freaking out mentally ) but it seems to be the cat as I listened closely tonight and revved it a few times. However, it did pass the soft mallet test so it's probably just on it's way out and not completely shot yet. But I'd rather get it before it clogs up causing other problems for me. |
