Not necessarily. Go shop the used car market right now. There are lots of great performance buys to be found, especially for models better suited to weekend cruising than daily commuting. Look at current resale values for once impressive performance cars like the Porsche 928S, Mercedes 600SEL, BMW 850, Audi V8, and similar models.
Lol no f/rwd debate here! Nyquil PM is Cognac of the gods tonight. But you gotta love that Mustang-Sally frame-twist. I believe FWD's call it torque-steer but it manifests itself as an erratic launch.
More like a shot rear main seal oil leak that decided to spray all over my down pipe before the cat. Fun stuff the whole wiping hot, smoking oil off the extremely hot exhaust pipe by hand situation...twice today. Yea my fingers are little toasted but it's better than a burnt down Jeep
Isn't it funny how things all decide to crap out at once? Credit card here I come!
Tell me about it. First, one of my dual exhaust pipes rusted off the muffler. Tossed that out. Now the second one has crapped out and fell off on me and this thing is way too loud. I need a new exhaust from the manifolds back ( need a new cat too ). I'm looking at an easy $450 to get it done.

The casing of the rear muffler on my BMW 750iL is starting to show some deterioration. Think I will go ahead with a replacement. Probably something close to OEM, as I am not really interested in opening up the exhaust note much more than stock.
However, if I was going to go for shear sound, I would probably drop the OEM exhaust setup and run a single large resonator.
If I had the mechanical know how and didn't need a reliable everyday driver, I would have liked to have gotten an older BMW.
before getting the RX8 I was looking at early 2000s late 90s 3 series. But alas, I wanted a car that was still under warranty as I drive a lot each day.
You luck SOB get to work from home and drive a 7 series

One by one the penguins steal my sanity.
Front seal had a leak, and the oil filter adapter was leaking as well. My heater core also had a leak so that explains my slight coolant loss. Had them all replaced. Only downside is that my rear main seal still does leak, however it is minuscule and something I've known about since day one. I'm talking a rain drop size drip every 45 minutes or so, nothing serious.
The good news? My trip to visit my brother (95% highway) netted me about 21-22mpg. Which when you consider the age of the vehicle, and that's it is a 4.0L inline 6 with an auto, is pretty good in my book.
