Got A/C? Could be no "freon/R134" in the system and the compressor goes ape. Just tossing it out there...
nah, doubt it after the sound clip. |

Yeah, that's hard to hear. What's the performance driving the Jeep like? Hesitation? burst of power? |

Doesn't seem to be affected at all.
Oh, another theory they had was that possibly a weight fell off the flex plate or torque converter. |

Normal plugs. Doesn't feel like a "miss", right? Harmonic balancer FTW ?
Doubt that would make as great of a vibration though. |

The Harmonic balancer could be playing hell with you, but that would be easy enough to find out. Run a chalk line or something that you can see on the pulley from the center bolt to the edge of the pulley. If the line shifts, then you've obviously got a problem. The harmonic balancer failed on my work truck, but the only thing I noticed was a horrendous squealing as it slipped. I'll potentially get it back from repairs tomorrow at work. I'll make a note to pay attention to how it idles and report back. |

Well, no difference in the truck with the new harmonic balancer in it. We'll just have to keep on coming up with ideas I guess. |

Have you checked the Vacuum lines for cracks by chance? I doubt its the problem but nobody has mentioned it yet.

Yeah, sprayed all the lines and the intake area to check for cracks there. |

The first two seconds of your second video sounds like a small diesel.
klack klack klack.
Sorry, but I do not know enough about engines to give a diagnostic.

Hi guys! My 2005 Ford Taurus just failed inspection.
The 3rd brake light is not working. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot the 3rd brake light assembly?
"P0462 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Low Input" whatever that is. Does anyone know what it is and what to do about it?
TIA! |
