Perhaps, but the more I research the 635CSI, the more I think it would be a good idea to forget about it. Despite being a popular enthusiast sports coupe, the old 6 series models can be maintenance and service nightmares. Some parts are getting hard (near impossible?) to find, and even many of the parts you can find are getting ridiculously expensive. The 635 was built for several years, but it was still a limited production model.

What else looks appetizing to you Rob? I've always had a hankering for a BMW 325ix myself, but then I've always liked BMW's and AWD...

Want an AWD? A dealer in Tampa has an actual 1984 Audi ur-Quattro with the rally locking differential system. Asking $15,995 though.
He also has a Skyline R33 GTS-T. Asking $23,995 for it. |

Ahem, both are definately out of my price range!
Just read a blog about a guy who bought one for $650 from a friend and fixed it up. Reminds me of of the time my (now) ex bought a '84 VW Rabbit and tasked me with fixing it up. I can't do body work worth a darn, but I got that sucker running like a top and replaced most of the dash and electrical. Bob's BMW 325ix |

BTW, my interests are varied. One of those "I know it when I see it" situations, though I do not have much intentions in spending thousands above trade to replace my Talon. If I was going that route, I would probably just buy a BMW 8 series or maybe a Porsche 928.
After skimming a few dealer search sites this week, I have came back to considering keeping the Talon. However, if I do keep it, it is going to have some work done. Not forced-induction performance work, either, at least for the near future. Instead I have thought about moving the front seats further back, (maybe) eliminating the back seats, a new paint job, new black finish rims, etc. I already know what the car needs and doesn't need, and it is not like I can easily replace it with a similar ~42k mile car with a nice body kit for the cost of the work I want done. |

If a person could care less about odometer mileage, I know where a BMW 325IS is located for under $3k. It looks pretty good for the price, but it has tons of miles. I have before dealt with the dealer, and I think he would probably considerably negotiate the price down. |

Minis occasionally popup around Florida, with pricing "all over the place" - seems largely dependant upon owners' wants other than an average market value. A dealer down the coast has one for $11,900. A little high IMO, but it has the 1275 engine, 4-speed manual, and some performance options.
With that said, I am not a huge fan of the Mini. Probably has to do with the annoying little Mini that BMW reintroduced a few years ago. It does not "feel" representative of a modern BMW, and it largely lost the charm of the original Mini Cooper. |
