Voluntary recall already issued for the new Camaro SS, and not for those bizarre "brake weights." Quote:

Any updates on your possible decision to sell/replace the Talon Rob?

Let is set in the driveway? That is where it has been for months, and if I don't get around to making a decision, that is where it will probably continue setting for quite awhile. I keep skimming the local used car dealers, and the offerings are currently quite dismal for what I am seeking.
If I wanted a Mustang (I don't), I would probably be good to go. I am not having much luck with anything that interests me. It got bad enough this week that I actually considered looking at an Aurora with the Northstar-derived 4.0L V8, despite me not really needing another sedan right now.
Due to the maintenance costs incurred, I can buy a decent BMW or Mercedes for less than most local dealers are wanting for boring domestic family sedans with anemic performance and high mileage. However, I already have a BMW 750iL, so the idea of owning an entry-level Euro-sedan is not really too appealing to me. I think that 635 L6 coupe is still available, but the parts prices are scary.
Used car pricing tends to trend upwards in economic downtowns as people turn way from buying new cars, and the effect is in full swing in my area. |

Could just buy one of these...
I suspect youd have to permenantly remove the doors, as would I.
*** Jeeze, I need to learn how to type.

Sure. For comparison, did you ever see the Police Academy movie where the tall guy ripped the front seat out of a hatchback to drive it around town? |

Think I have that on a dvd master in my collection...
Part 5 or 6- Citizens on Patrol was the best, imo. |

Thinking of tiny cars of which I have little use, I do remember noticing a local individual listing for a Geo Metro convertible earlier this week. Asking $1400 for a nearly 50MPG car. Those things in decent condition were selling for around $5k-$8k back during the previous gas crisis. |

Good in town point a to b vehicle... certainly nothing I would take to a gathering or use for highway travel....
In this part of the country, youd have more street credit riding a Sears lawn mower.... as the Metros and the CRXs that still exist have been kiddy cars and riced out... and sound like a bunch of ticked off bees in a rust heap. |

Much like if you can actually find a low-mileage Honda CRX HF, it would be more like an investment for the next time gas prices spike assuming you had somewhere to store it. A return to high gas prices is just a matter of time. Either drive it to offset the expensive fuel costs, or sell it for a nice profit. |
