RobRich I want to clarify that you are not required to use it as a computer case.
| Well, in that case (he.he.he).
This U-G-L-Y looks like a shin guard on the front going to a MX racing helmet vented chin with some type of electronic growth on it's head. This thing is definitely uglier than all of my ex-wives combined...ewwwey!
From Websters...Nemesis: one that inflicts retribution or vengeance b : a formidable and usually victorious rival or opponent...yeah, I got your nemesis right here (oh no, the voices are coming back again).
Too bad it doesn't have a red neon light in it...might have some amount of function then in the right house in the wrong part of town
Probably should load the thing with about 50 D-class model rocket engines and then strap this baby to a nice 4,000 count strand of firecrackers. Take some gasoline and splash it on real nice and then trail the gas all around the yard like some crazy domino pattern (or even try to spell out "TECH IMO") but that gets kinda hard when you're running around with 5 gallons of gas in your hands, smoking a cigarette and trying not to spill the Jack Daniels, but I digress.
So I guess ya'll just stand back a bit whilst I try to hit that gas mark with that ole Camel filter...WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSH! Ever see 50 D-class model rocket engine soaked in gas take off...(yeah, typing this as I'm ducking for cover as these nice little engines are flying all over the place.) Such a shame about 'ole Miss Mayferns house across the way....oops. And her cats too (still can smell the fur burning). Yea, yea my membership to the animal protection league ran out. It's cool though cuz some of the cats made it to the pond to extinguish themselves. I hate cat fur in my case.
When ye old nemesis stops a smoldering, she(he...WHAT EVER!) is not quite the same. Plexi is modded into some weird, flowing, blackened crunchy mass that weirdly reflects itself to resemble the face of JacK Nickalson in the "Shining" when he breaks that door down with the axe..."Heeeeeeeer's Johnny"...you know, if plexi can look like that...sometimes it does, but even that can depend on my current dosage (speaking of which...gulp, gulp). "No mommy, I don't need another shot right now"
I'm almost afraid to pick up the smoking, molten mess right now, but it IS ruining the grass and there will be heck to pay for that when the old man gets released (ergh...gets back home). So I gets me a shovel and picks up wha'ts left of MIZZ Nemesis and puts it to rest in the trash can since it is trash night and mom does frown on me bringing smoking, smoldering, stinking things into the house (well, it IS my fault ever since the indoor bottle rocket incident...who knew how flamable lighter fluid was????) So I put the lid on the can and walk my way in and calling it a night. I just wonder if that plastic garbage can will catch on fire in the garage... |

That thing would also make a good boat anchor, the sharp edges look like they would do good it digging into the ground under water.

Being that it is going to be hard to get him much anyway due to my un-empoyment, I think I could make that into one heck of a Birthday present for him and I am SURE he would LOVE IT! He is a type 1 diabetic and it's hard to take him places like Kings Island etc where I live because he is insulin dependant. So, he is taking after me and enjoying learning about computers. If I win, he and I will build it together so he can learn and I can share something with him.
Regards,
Sweeper | At least that saves my brain from mild usage.
Just give it to Sweeper, he's a long time member and his essay gives more than enough of a reason for him to get it.
Furthermore, if I were to win, I'd charge Sweeper 2 large for it, and then another one large for shipping, mwahahaha.
And Vass, you're still insane.

I'd first like to thank Johnny from NZXT for providing the Guardian, Nemesis, and soon to be Trinity cases. If it wasn't for him, those reviews and this contest would not be possible.
By the way, he'll be reading this thread or at least skimming through.
Good Luck! |

If I win I'm going to drive it up and down Military Dr.
Think my 2.0L four-bangers will fit in it?

I love aliens and alien type stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As many of you know, I've gotten into my bass playing so heavily, I haven't built a new machine in two years, still with the AMD 1800+ K7S5A 1gig pc2100....etc
This case would remotivate me into buliding again and running a FAD, learning Linux, recording my bass playing for all of Techimo to hear.........
Help me with my addiction to procrastination, please.

Upon reading the review on the case, and after staring at my simplistic and beaten up computer case, I have realized that this case has many great uses
First and foremost: as a computer case, because I would really love to run FaD but my current case cooling is keeping my comp temps way over 60* when running it since i have a socket 478 Prescott that we all know you can melt marshmallows on :P. ( a 60mm rear fan isnt doing it haha)
Secondly: It would make a great Halloween Accesory, give it some power and sit it on your doorstep and guess what, everyone would be too scared to come for candy!!!! The case would make little girls scream, and little boys wet themselves!
Third: CHRISTMAS!! i'm into case modding and I am willing to transform this case into a Santa Claus Transformer!! if you get my drift Think about it, add a little jolly hoho here and there, throw in some candy canes, get some green and red lights and you have a fully functional christmas toy!! My nephew wold love it since he visits every christmas and it will be his 3rd one this year
Fourth: Due to the fact that i have an extra motherboard and ram laying around i could use this case as a secondary cruncher!
I just moved down to florida, and i do think Rob can agree that it gets extremely hot during the summer... With my current case I can't run my comp without having the central air on! With this i could save my parents and family money by not having to use the AC constantly even on 80* days! with the case it would allow me to run a total of 3 (or 4 if i talk my bro into running FaD on his fx-53 )
crunchers on the team
Personally I think it is a great looking case, but thats IMO. There are many other uses for it such as nightlight in the hallway so my dad doesnt trip and hurt himself like he did a week ago :P Besides im broke and fathers day is coming up and guess what his favorite color is? Blue! so this would be a great nightlight for him overall~
Ohh another great idea has come to mind!!! A mini fridge case!! Think about it, make the 5.25drive bays sliding trays for ice! and have the side panel with modifaction lift up and down to allow you to get to frozen beverages and cold drinks! I would accomplish this by making a vent from the AC directly to a modded intake on the top of the case
Anyways, thank you all for taking the time to read my reply, and good luck to all in the contest!! Keep crunching peeps
I attached a very very quick example of how i could turn this into a fully functionaly christmas toy!! Imagine the face on a 3yr old when he sees such joyful holiday spirit?

After the case has arrived, it will sit there, unloved by the motherboard/CPU that it needs. After a month (or less), it will be opened, and new life will appear upon this enchanted Earth. After I have carefully installed my new system, and perhaps put some new fans in it, it will have an AMD Athlon 64 3200+, MSI NEO4-F, MSI x800 128MB PCI-Express, 1GB of GeIL RAM, a Sony DVD+-RW, a Sony Floppy, and a 450 watt PSU. After that, I will load Windows XP, perhaps disabling it beyond repair , I will begin the DESTRUCTION. [The DESTRUCTION will be the total annhilation of the Galatic Empire in Star Wars:X-Wing Alliance]. And, after, I will begin the annihilation of the Borg on Star Trek:Elite Force.
Then, once I have completed that, it will wither away in a closet, forgotten and unloved, only to be resurrected once a new motherboard, a great CPU, will rescue it.
Reather
Edit:
Once I have gotten the system, my old one would become an Internet one, replacing this K6-2. It might run FaD, and my new one, w/ an overclock of 2.6 GHz might also become a FaD computer.

After I got the case, I would invest in a new motherboard and recycle all of my non-Dell components, which is basically everything. I'd probably backup and do a clean install, giving my system an opportunity for a fresh start and probably better operation. The new case would probably help keep things cooler than my old system, and I'd probably get a silent cooler for my graphics card as well to make things quieter. In the possibility that I receive additional funding, my dad has talked about upgrading my RAM and CPU, which would really make things run faster since I could run at 533 mhz. FSB instead of 400! All in all, I'd have a really good, quiet system that will last me probably a good year or more longer than my system in its current state. If this turns out to be a junky case, I'd probably just remove the fans and put in Panaflo fans, of which I currently enjoy using one H1A.
I don't know why people are complaining. I think the case looks really cool! Let's hope it works as well as it looks. |

upon receiving the computer, i have decided it would be funny if i converted it into a 486 computer. i would load it with a fresh windows 95 on a brand new badass 2.1gig hard drive for the motherboard can only handle 2.1gig and below for the motherboard im getting will be the cream of the crop. then i shall install a nice "standard" 72pin memory with a total of 8mb. after all this is installed and the computer is running fine. i will take this 2 my friends house and use it as a gaming machine for we lan quite often. the games that will be loaded on this extreme gaming rig will be solitaire, mine sweeper, and oodles of random games. when i setup this badboy in the living room, they will be like "wow you got a new computer, looks cool how fast is it" and my reply will be like "you wont believe me if i told you!"
that is wat i would do if i win this case more or less! |

The case is black...my truck is black...and everyone loves hood scoops.
After I got tired of everyone laughing at my hood scoop I'd stick my current system in it...My 4 year old antec SX1030B is starting to look like swiss cheese with all the little mods that have come and gone. |
