What SJ said.
DoT here in US has been trying to get something like this on trucks for years. That system would record a lot of the trucks functions (speed for instance) and would keep a log of events for 'X' length of time. Police would be able to read this log, and how has changed several times. This has never gone any further than a bunch of proposals, at least to the best of my knowledge. But it still gets on a lot of truckers nerves that they would be "spied on" by the government.
Note that I have never heard of that same system being proposed for the average car. Just for the big rigs. |

On jamming, I would assume that it's failure mode would be to return control to the driver.

| no1 vern It's not $14 a day to park. it's $14 a day to drive into the city. Parking is extra. Twenty dollars a day for parking ala carte sounds about right for a typical San Francisco lot.

Well I would prefer electronic traps. I hate having to BS with a cop for 20 minutes to get on with my life, I was in a rush in the first place . They just need to stop using Traffic Tickets as a source of department funding... $120... thats just crazy. But for the main topic. If I was offered some sort of discount for installing this system I would jump on it in a heart beat. If you ever run the numbers the actuall time "saved" by speeding really isnt that much for day to day travel. |

Yeah, but at the same time, their public transportation is much better than ours. Using it to get around is actually reasonable. |
