Ya should have "Christian", chooco - I don't consider meself a protestant (I'm not protesting nuthin'! ) or a catholic (my tastes are not like that... ). Now I'll have to put other
Christianity is the only religion/belief system that emphasizes grace - God reaching down to us even though we don't deserve it. Unmerited love it's called. That's what Christ was all about.
Read some CS Lewis stuff and you'll see what I mean. Try The Screwtape Letters or Mere Christianity for starters. He get's the point across very well. IMO anyway. | |

One of the easiest ways to ruin a friendship or start a fight . . . . . is to bring up or criticize someone else's relegion. So, Let's just keep this as a POLL, per Chooco's request! If you're interested or would like more information, then ask. Just don't criticize!!!
Now, that that is said . . .
Born and raised Mennonite/Lutheran. . . . Joined Army (Infantry), so kicked out of Mennonite church.
Protestant in the Army.
Now, Independant Fundamental Baptist.

Christian by upbringing and choice. Baptist. Free willed individual with a clear set of right and wrong. I do not use my religion as an excuse or a crutch. I am secure in the knowledge that I will sit in the sight of God when my time has come. Because of this knowledge I do not fear death, nor do I fear life. I only hope for His grace and forgiveness. I do not believe in fate, luck, or any superstition that is alleged to influence my life. I am in control of my life and am guided by Him. |
