| Parental ignorance at it's finest
I think this about tops them all, folks. People wonder why teens think their parents are dumb. It's not because they don't understand us, or because they don't connect, but because of This.
So funny... So, so funny...
Oh, and if that article is true, everyone on this website is a hacker. 90% of you own AMD, and no doubt ALL of you spend more then 30 minutes on the computer In fact, pretending that article is true, we should haul everyone away and throw away the key.
EDIT: I submitted the wrong link. I fixed it.

I'm pretty certain it's even been posted here before...but it's still funny. |

I wouldn't doubt it, it's quite old. But regardless, I wanted to remind everyone and bring it to all the newbies here that it's... Well, Satire, like Brandon claimed. |

While it is clearly satire to us that actually use computers, I could circulate that article during a school PTA meeting and probably scare half of the parents in attendance. Much like everything else in today's so-called "digital age," it is all a matter of perspective.

Okay, I stopped reading after "as an enlightened modern parent...."
I heard about this or something like it awhile ago- only thing I've got to say...
In the immortal word of a fellow "hacker"-
I wish I could invent something that would let me reach out and smack people over the internet....

I have no reason to attend a PTA meeting , but this type of satirical article seems like the usual teenager propaganda that often gets accidentally misquoted or improperly utilized at such meetings.
Ever read some of the school materials being passed around these days, like the various ten step guides to determining if your child smokes or drinks? Some are so insipid and ludicrous that they would make for better stand up acts than informative references. |
