I was just listening to the radio and i heard about this medic who was shot by an insurgent sniper, but he was saved by his bodyarmor. After being knocked down he fired back, and then tracked down the man. He followed the blood trail, took him capture, and then rendered medical aid to the same man that shot him. Anyone have any links to the story? Amazing nonetheless. |

If the roles were reverseed do you think the insurgent would have acted in the same manner? The likely outcome would have been the death of the medic. |

near as I can tell this story is the rule not the exception.
We virtually alway render assistance. there are exceptions where soldiers may go overboard but I am not going to judge them in these situations. hell I do not know what i would do in the situation so I am not going to fault them from not leaning they way I think I might lean. |

Insurgents(or terrorists) don't apparently play by the Geneva Convention rules. A formal declaration of war is a moot point. |

He has to learn to be a better shot though. he risked military property by not taking him out. he could have been shot by the wounded guy. He should have made him dead with his first shot. After his mistake he is duty bound to render assistance |
