Headed to Los Angeles for a few days, any advice for LA rookies?
*yawn*
My wife and I are headed to the Los Angeles area for a few days in October (her friend's wedding)...other than deciding which gang colors to avoid wearing, do you have any other tips for first-time LA visitors?

Thanks,
Mike

Advice for visiting L.A.: Leave as soon as possible.

Two things:
Bring gas masks/air filters/O2 tanks so you can actually breath down there.
Drive like they do - or stay off the roads.
Other than that, it's not much different than a city overcrowded with people.

My advice? Tek-9 and a case of ammo.

Good advice. Do not bother merging into the fast lane on a moving freeway unless you feel safe driving at 90+ MPH in bumper to bumper traffic.Drive like they do - or stay off the roads.Robert Richmond | Infinite perceptions. One reality.

Just act weird and wear your Jason mask . Just avoid areas of riot, serial killings and peewee hermans play house

Haha, my Jason mask...in Jason Takes Manhattan, nobody even looked twice at him walking through a busy downtown area at night. Well, until he lifted the hockey mask up for the punks.

Thanks for the advice...90+ is nothing compared to driving in England, but it's been a while and we'll be in a rental (and clueless as to where we're going), so I'm sure we'll be getting passed frequently.

Oh yeah, that's right...OuT is going to visit us while we're there.

We're going to try to hit up Six Flags as well.

dont wear anything team oriented... and dont flip anyone off.... keep with traffic and use signals.... when i was in vegas people would let you in without batting an eye if you did, otherwise they would block you as fast as they could...
have fun bro...

OMG...you guys are so funny, the way you regard Los Angeles...
It's a marvelous metropolis. You don't need a gun, you just need a sense of humor.
Mike, give me a holler when you get here. If you're afraid of L.A., I'll make all that 'fraidy-cat jazz go bye-bye. L.A. is a good town, I say, and I would be most happy to show you, buddy!
Uh, but bring some heavy cash, though (this town ain't cheap...) !!

Plus, if 2 1/2 hours of driving isn't too incredibly-out of the way- far... You could come down to San Diego and hit all us Timo'ers up down here.
Went up to LA for a couple days back in August. Too busy for my taste. Everybody seemed like they needed to get where they were going RIGHT THEN AND THERE. I just stayed out of their way, and came out alive. My two year old likes to mimick everybody honking their horns now though. - Kinda' cool. And thus it was spoken by the mighty Uss. And it was so.
