Verizon works great. It's also great when you've got friends who've got Verizon, free in calling.

I used an on line outfit: A-1 Wireless.
They have all the plans, better rebates, any you can talk to a human if you have an issue with shipping.
I got a Cingular plan (same plan but phone with rebate was $ 50.00 at Cingular stores) but I got the same phone with two rebated meaning the ended up oweing me $50.00. Same plan, same phone, cheaper phone due to rebates.

phonescoop.com and howardforums.com are both great places for information reguarding cell phones!
Personally, I hate contracts (and Verizon and Cingular), so I picked up a Boost Mobile i830 phone. It works on the Nextel (Sprint) network, and I never have a problem with service. Also, with a little trick, you can get free web browsing. So basically, I get free incomming text messeges, free web browsing, and sending texts is only .10 (free with another trick too ). When I make calls, it's .20 a minute, but I hardly make calls and when I do talk, it's only for a minute or two to confirm plans or something. I also like the ability to Direct Connect friends (not as much) and co-workers (all the time) for 1.50 a day. I guess it all depends on what you want and are looking for. |

Consumer Reports rates Verizon #1 in call reception in all major markets. When it comes down to it, reception is all that matters. What good is a deal if the service is 2nd rate?

Lots of different formats in use as ringtones, but most mp3 capable phones should let you use mp3s as ringtones. The Samsung D600 does for sure. |
