God Bless the WV miners.
This is an edit. It was first reported last night that twelve miners were found alive. News since the initial reports has painted a worse situation. In my excitement of the first report, I posted this thread. I am indeed sorry if I had offended anyone.
Hindsight paints me as an idiot.
Still God Bless them!

Its not twisteds' fault!
He went with initial reports, intended to relieve pain that the people were feeling(outside the mine). Which is what the mine officials wanted.
When the truth was found out, and the information about their deaths were told, it caused far more harm than if nothing had been said in the first place.
IF they had kept quiet until it was KNOWN that they were ok it would have been MUCH better.

I was watching as it unfolded last evening on TV.I was excited to hear the news. I was shocked to get up this morning to hear the change of events..OMG! My heart goes out to their families.Imaging their relief first hearing of them being found alive, then the agony of it not being true. |

i wonder who opened their mouth and blabbed information before others could confirm it...... that is ONE thing you DON'T do in a situation like this.... i just hope the families will be able to deal with all of this... since this is probably the worst thing they will ever encounter in their lifetimes... im not sure how else to say it... |

problem is there is no "somebody else" to confirm
they reported up to the top 'something' and itwas mistaken as 12 alive.
I do think they should of waited on SEEING them on top before commiting to all alive..
however that is not how the media works. |

It's a general problem of the "scoop" mentality: Don't get it right, get it written. More important to be first than to be correct.
