    RIAA Sues again...

    Would you believe this?

"Ms Lindor has not only never 'downloaded, distributed or made available for distribution' any files, but has never purchased, used or even turned on a computer in her life," her lawyers wrote in a letter to Judge David Trager.
This one ought to be good.

"The illegal downloading of music is just as wrong as shoplifting from a local store. It is against the law, and breaking the law must carry consequences."
It's only wrong and a shame when you shop lift from a mom and pop store. We are talking about a grouping of spineless multinational corporations here. It is pretty vile and disgusting that you can go to prison for downloading 1 mp3 (just one) and face more fines, prison time, etc then a murderer! give me a break!

Lol, and when a person without a computer tries to download a song illegaly, that is like what, a person without arms or legs trying to steal something from a local store?

    Don't forget simple economics here

You: Downloading mp3's,Software,Cam Captures Of Movies, etc: Total Monster and threat to capitalism, you deserve to be locked up in prison for more time then a child rapist and/or serial killer!

Them: Embezzling And Skimming Money out of companies, Insider Trading, Selling Off Stocks and running while maintaining to thousands of employees that the company is doing just fine (enron, worldcom, etc), they plead the fifth and end up on a beach in the bahamas sipping martini's while familes affected by the loss of the company, their 401k's, etc lose their homes and go homeless/bankrupt.

Yeah, me downloading that frank sinatra mp3 and copy of smokey and the bandit is a awful awful thing that is going to reduce america to a flaming wreck since I didn't go out and buy a copy of it.........

Interesting if true My guess is that she will get off, if it is bs then she will be found guilty and finded jailed and what ever in accordance with what is right for being a scum bag thief.

If innocent though I hope she gets some money for her trouble and lawyer fees.

does this rise to the examples you put above. No!!!

    should you steal music? no!!!

Should you get the same jail time as a murderer or rapist? no!!!

Should you be punished if you take what is not yours for personal gain or enjoyment? Yes!!!!!!!!!

It is mighty convenient of you to demonize the record industry so that you can personally enrich your life. What a convenient excuse you use when it benefits you. Ps this is directed at all pirates not you specifically.
