| Thank You Scott for including an "Ignore" Option
For the first time I've invoked the "Ignore" option.
This is a wonderful tool to screen out obnoxious members who thrive on flaming or causing disruption.
I no longer have the time/patience to defend my position on common matters.
Thankfully 99.9% of the membership does not exhibit "the Angry Young Man Syndrome"
My days of coddling the undisplined are far gone and I will not "pet" them anymore.
Thanks again Scott W. and mgmt
Most Sincerely
DrVette

Having problems are we Doc? Too bad . I feel sorry that you have to go to this extreme... But I guess someone proves a use for everything.

Hey, thanks, Doc! I'm going there, next! Knothead hopes he's not on Doc's list!

Just curious what this function does?
Does it effectively edit out their posts for you?

Jkrohn | Yes, basically, whenever their posts show up, the space has a label that says This person is on your ignore list...
End of annoyance! Everybody wins!! |

Hate to teach a mouse to chew cheese, Oh Great Jr. Old Wise One, but shouldn't this post be in IMO Community? Not in General Tech Discussion?
Of course, if I'm the ignored one, you won't read this, right?
Just trying to be helpful
PS I don't qualify for "young man" anyway, so my kids tell me
Cheers

Agreed ... lately we had few members that, the less i can say, are annoying ...
I like that feature ... But!
The only bad thing about the ignore list is that when another member respond to a post for an ignored member, you have to read that post to understand the whole thing ...
And when another member quote the ignored member`s post .. then we have to read it .. so no escape Doc ...
I just ignore by bypassing without stopping, or reading and ignoring every single word, as i don`t care for immature person`s ideas and opinions ...
I didn`t use the ignore list yet .. and mostly will not ... i always use the ignore feature in my head instead
Just IMHO ..
Regards
<edit> sp!!

I only wish I could put myself on ignore sometimes. |
