so the economy is more important that doing the right thing? I love your reasoning shawshank.
| The right thing? Is it wrong for these people to come to America any way possible so they can get a better job, making in a week what would take them a year in Mexico to make. You make it seem like Mexicans are stealing all the high paying corporate jobs, give me a break. Just remember that at one point your parents, or grandparents, or great grandparents came over here just like these people. Wheter you like it or not, these immigrants have a big influence over our entire lives.
Let's do the right thing, and force these people back into Mexico...sorry America's closed, get the hell out. Go back to your horrible country, good luck! Yeah, thats the right thing to do. |

Shawshank, follow the math...
We legalize 11 million illegals. Since they are in low paid jobs they put less into Social Security than they put into it, plus when they are citizens they can bring their parents over, who is most cases are older than they are. They immediately go on Social Security, Medicare, welfare, etc.
We do not need to import another underclass of poor people, period!

Therefore, msut I wait for all these Illegals to get their green card and THEN I get one? |

I don't categorize people by how much they make -- or don't make -- into upper and underclass
| They you are just fine with Mexico having 60% of it's people in poverty? I think it is a bad thing to be poor. It should be a national priority to get people off welfare and into jobs "Americans won't take" at wages "Americans will take".
This country is turning into one big slum, with little pockets of "niceness" here and there. |

| Chuckie, then do you propose deporting 11 million people from the country? Good luck with that. Basically what i see you saying is that you want the system to stay the way it is right now...fine with me. Things run smoothly now, so why tamper with it. |

My great grandparents came over on a boat, waited in a nice long line, and went through the entire LEGAL process to get over here. Hey, if your grandparents illegally snuck into our country, thats your own problem.
If people dislike their country and want to emmigrate and come to the United states, thats fine by me, but DO IT LEGALLY.
I espescially hate the fact that illegal immigrants are getting (and/or going to be getting) benefits that I am unable to get. Why don't we take care of the American people first, then we can worry about the people who have come here illegall (and deport them and tell them to follow the right process)
