If you cant stand the heat, stay OUT of the kitchen was a favorite saying of my mother. The saying comes to mind while reading a news article about SUV owners turning to arson in the face of higher gas prices.
Debt-weary SUV owners contacted the finance manager, hoping to trade in their gas-guzzler for something cheaper. They were then put in touch with an arsonist who told them to leave the keys in the ignition and $300 cash in the glovebox. An arsonist would then take the car to a remote location and set it afire. After the car was torched, the owners would then contact their insurance company and report their vehicle stolen,
These are supposedly intelligent adults. One would think that they would know what would happen if the price of gas(historically it has almost always gone up) goes up and they are driving an SUV that get like 12 miles to the gallon. Turning to criminal means to get by is NOT an option in our society.
