As for the problem of keeping everybody quiet about the whole thing, it doesn't really matter if anybody says anything. Remember that Roswell crash some people think was related to alien spaceships? There have been military people involved who came forward to claim they saw aliens at the crash site, many of them trying to sell a book about it. People like myself still do not believe Roswell had anything to do with aliens because that explanation requires you to believe aliens exist, which goes against Occam's Razor (keep reading and this will make sense).
The very beginning of that Loose Change video shows how a conspiracy theory maintains itself. It's not that something absolutely astounding happened, but a number of things coming together to make a situation that either falls into the category of being one in a billion chance, or a conspiracy. For example, NORAD doing a test is nothing strange. The USAF doing training exercises is nothing strange. Pulling bomb dogs out of a building is a bit strange but it could be done for a good reason. Warning the mayor of San Fransisco not to fly is a bit weird but could still be for a reason that targets only him. A bunch of terrorists hijacking a plane is also not that uheard of. All of these things happening at the same time seems unbelievable.
We can either believe people died by a series of unrelated coincident events, or by some group of people leading these events. Occam's Razor is the idea that the simplest explanation is most likely correct, so the only question anybody needs to ask is which explanation seems simpler.

yes, we are faced with either "conspiracy theory" (powerful people plotting together for their own personal gain) or 'coincidence theory' (events converge coincidentally against astronomical odds)
when you start looking at historical "big events" and you start to see patterns it makes the "coincidence thoery" just implausable
for instance...for the 7/7 bombings in London there was an "exercise" going on at the exact same time at the EXACT locations where the actual bombs detonated.......I have seen a figure quoted for the odds of that happening......using a standard actuary as used by insurance companies,to calculate the probablity of these events coinciding in a 10 year mean, it was along the lines of "one in > 300 pretagillion "(sp?).....which is a number with 41 zeroes
and thats just for that one event (7/7 bombing).......now consider that on 9/11 there were at least 5 seperate high level drills occuring....some using "live fly" (real planes)....the exercises simultaed hijacked aircraft, airplanes crashing into buildings etc.....anyone want to run the odds on that? now run the odds on both of those happening
when Reagan was shot, there was a FEMA Presidential succession drill occuring the next day called "9 lives"...(but, oopsy, Reagan didnt die)
after a while one must begin to see patterns.....its not enough for the govt to just say "wow, what a bizarre coincidence"
as Shawn pointed out...one coincidence is one thing..but when 50 of them stack up its just ridiculous to be asked to believe the story....Occams razor cuts both ways...at this point a conspiracy is FAR more feasable than any attempt to explain things using coincidence theory
for dozens of SOP's to totally fail on one day....that in itself is an insult to peoples intelligence

oops, I misspoke....there were at least 15 drills on 911....probably the most drill-dense day in US history
names of the drills
(Amalgam Virgo), vigilant guardian
Northern Guardian, Vigilant Warrior
Northern Vigilance, Amalgam Warrior
Global Guardian, Crown vigilance, Apollo Guardian
National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
AWACS over Florida and DC
Ft Meyer Va firemen (Pentagon)
NYC area , TRIPOD II, Timely Alert II
some of the air drills involved inserting fake "blips" onto radar screens....at one point there were up to 29 "planes" reported hijacked.....caused great confusion for real-world air traffic operators and military radar operators etc
other actual operations or drills sent fighters up into alaska or Iceland to guard against a "Russian threat"....of course that was probably because the Russians are not stupid and they saw all the "drills" we were doing and they understand how drills are used to cover real events
when you look at other drills in the year before 911 you can pretty much see that they were practising for the real thing
a very interesting page showing dozens of drills which basically correspond to what happened on 911 http://team8plus.org/e107_plugins/fo...ewtopic.php?16
today, almost everything is hidden in plain sight
more interesting reading about the drills which basically 'ARE' 911 http://911review.org/inn.globalfreep...rills_11a.html ...check the coincidences with the persons participating in drills and then having roles on 911....
interesting to see the drills in Shanksville.....but I know, I know, BinLaden prearranged all of this to add confusion

today, almost everything is hidden in plain sight | All this proves there is a person on another forum the believes the same thing. I attempted to open several of the links and none worked, not surprised.
A conspiracy theory is what is says it is, a theory not a event proven by factual scientific evidence.
"A conspiracy theory attempts to explain the ultimate cause of an event (usually a political, social, or historical event) as a secret, and often deceptive, plot by a covert alliance of powerful people or organizations rather than as an overt activity or as natural occurrence.
While history has shown that crimes carried out by a group of people (a "conspiracy") are not uncommon, the term "conspiracy theory" is usually used by scholars and in popular culture to identify a type of folklore similar to an urban legend, having certain regular features, especially an explanatory narrative which is constructed with certain naïve methodological flaws.[1]
The term is also used pejoratively to dismiss allegedly misconceived, paranoid or outlandish rumors. Most people who have their theory or speculation labeled a "conspiracy theory" reject the term as prejudicial. Richard Hofstadter said that his use of the terminology is “pejorative.
In that context, a typical individual will tend to be more isolated from the kinds of peer networks that grant access to broad sources of information, and may instinctively distrust any statement or claim made by certain people, media, and other authority-bearing institutions. For some individuals, the consequence may be a tendency to attribute anything bad that happens to the distrusted authority. For example, some people attribute the September 11, 2001 attacks to a conspiracy involving the U.S. government (or disfavored politicians) instead of to Islamic terrorists associated with Al-Qaeda (see 9/11 conspiracy theories.)" link |

people go to jail everyday on far less evidence than exists for the govt complicity in 911
but as I have said before....for the most part if one doesnt see it already, they probably never will....because its hard to see any evidence surfacing that is even MORE damning than what already exists |

Alright JP...how's this for you:
Almost every day, a strange conicidence happens to me. Anything from just happenning to read something or see something so far out of the usual norm it sticks in my head. Then, within a day to two, something important will come up out of the blue, something exactly relating to what I saw the day or two before that was so unusual and I was able to directly apply that knowledge as if it was planted for a purpose.
How about this as well: I'm driving on a highway, taking an on ramp too fast, car slides off over the 75 foot dirt embankment leading to the elevated highway. No guard rails, heading straight for the flip topple your dead scene. I spot a pot hol in the side of the road, my last remaining tire that is not airborne happens to be the right front, I jerk the wheel in the direction of the pot hole, it goes there, catches in the pothole and slingshots the whole car back onto the road facing backward. Coincidence? Was that pot hole planted? Well, maybe it was planted by an angel for some personal gain he got from keeping me alive?
Let's say Doolittles B25 bombers are on a stretch run bombing Japan, they are running out of gas and can't make it to China...all of a sudden the head wind turns into a 35MPH tail wind and blows them all the way to safety. Coincidence? Nah, must be some kind of conspiracy too...
If you would open your mind to reality you will notice that the majority of things dont usually work the way they are 'planned' yet the ones that are guided by 'strange' coincidences are the ones that make it into the history books.
Now, look back over history again, find the coincidences that didn't happen and compare to the ones that did. You just might see something that differentiates success from failure and not conspiracy theories.
Of course you have to accept that things happen beyond your control might just happen for a purpose higher than any human mind could understand.
Nah...just a bunch of garbage isnt it all? I bet your one of those who seems to have the worst case scenerio issues everytime something comes up aren't you?

"The Real Hijackers," by ron@midtownriot.com
"Bush's fraudulent "war on terrorism" is of course a war of civilizations directed against the 1 billion Arab and Moslem people in the world; it is more hypocritical than Hitlerism because it assiduously denies its own real content. In reality, the "war on terrorism" is a racist war against Arabs and Moslems today, with China and perhaps Russia as candidates for all-out attack at some later time. From time to time the real essence explodes to the surface, as in Bush's call for a crusade, or in General Boykin's comments on satanic Islam. Neocon radio talk show hosts like Michael Savage are more explicit every day, and it is they who service the belief structure of Bush's hard-core followers." |

In retrospect, 9/11 emerges as a made-for-television spectacle of death and destruction in which all plausibility is sacrificed for visual effectiveness on the screen. A half century ago, such an operation would have been much more difficult. Movies go back over 100 years. By 2004, the U.S. population had been addicted to the television screen for some 50 years; the younger generations had never known anything else. Computer screens had been around for 30 years. Finally, the vogue of video games had been strong for several decades. The result was that a world of flickering images projected on screens of various sizes and types had displaced experienced reality for many, or rather had become the centerpiece of their experienced reality. The computer enhancement of Hollywood films had further blurred the notion of what was real. |

Coincidence? | Something like this happened to a relative of mine (injury involving lots of things). After she told the story I said "maybe god's trying to kill you". She did not find that funny at all
I can understand what you are saying, but your example doesn't include coincidences. It starts by driving too fast, which is normal (the majority of all driving). The road has no guard rails, but most roads around here don't have guard rails, including ones passing over the Rocky Mountains. The road had a pothole in it, but so do many of the roads in Washington state. The only thing out of the ordinary would be the location of the pothole; it just happens to be where you need it. Overall the situation is plausible.
If you added maybe 20 or 30 coincidental rare events it would turn into something special where god is trying to kill you or angels are trying to save you |

Anyone who believes this plan could be planned and executed from a cave in Afghanistan, will believe anything the government wants them to believe. |
