Maybe buy it, then download a cracked version with no DRM off the net? Sure it stretches the consumer "protection" laws crappy laws we have to the limit, but I wouldn't call it illegal by any stretch of the imagination.

For what I gather, SecuROM (Sony) could mostly care less about public sentiment as long as corporate dollars keep flowing and the "protected" products keep selling, plus 2K Games has already fielded the initial PR nightmare and subsequent backlash on the Internet.
It is the DRM in the demo that is most problematic. Demo piracy? Yeah, that is a laugh, or well it would be assuming SecuROM wasn't part of the demo installation.  |

I don't think 2K Games has fielded the majority of public backlash of this DRM technology - most gamers still don't know about it.  |
