Damn it, today has been one BS thing after another.
First, I watched TV last night with the output on my computer. The stupid POS decided last night that since I closed the lid on my lappy that it would turn that monitor off, disable it, and force everything onto the TV and set it as the main monitor. Wasn't too bad until this morning when I tried getting back on after I unplugged the TV, and my lappy decided not to let me use the only connected monitor (the built in LCD). Seriously, that is BS, why does it decide for me that I don't want it on in the first place, but can't decided on it's own that I want to use it when it is the only damn monitor available?
On top of that all these web servers I have been trying to use are all screwed to hell. The prepackaged ones like Xampp and Wamp all work, but the damned things don't work the way they should and don't follow the settings I have in their configuration files. So I decided to just install apache/php/mysql from their individual install files, but of course something is screwed up with them as well because when I tried starting it, it said it couldn't find files that did exist and were in the right place.
Now Firefox is being an ass. I am trying to learn how to use mod rewrite on my local server and set it up to forward (username).domain to domain/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&un=(username). But the ass that firefox is, it decides that it should automatically put www. in front of the subdomain when I try to use the url on my local server, which of course doesn't work because www.localhost does not work.
On top of it all everything is being an ass because I have things that won't let me edit/delete files because I "don't have permission". Complete BS that it is impossible for me to delete or edit files, because since I don't have permission I can't edit the permissions for the file either.
Seriously, WTF is going on? I have wasted a few hours of my time trying to be able to do some work and I am still not able to.
