Rosh Hashanah Begins Saturday at Sundown; Ramadan begins Sunday.

Rosh Hashanah -Jewish New Year. Sundown to Sundown September 23 to 24th.

The Ramadan --Islamic Month of Fasting -- Begins Sunday September 24th.

Last Thursday Mr. Abbas,of the PLO announced that Hamas had joined in a Government of Unity and would honor the prior commitments of the Palistinian Authority. By implication, some believed, the recognition of the State of Isreal.

Perhaps one day Hope will triumph over Fatalism and Despair.

With Best Wishes to all Believers of two of the three Abrahamic Faiths on these Holy Days.

    We can Hope and Pray
    Peace on Earth to All.

To give a bump, may I say that we can hope that the history of religion might one day be written large,
with what the poet Browning called sweeter manners, purer laws."

The Jews can get along, it's their fellow Muslims that Muslims need to worry about:

Thank you for the kind Ramadan greetings, the majority of Muslims will begin Ramadan today (Saturday) due to the moon sightings.

    No, a new one.

Marcia and I went to dinner last night with my Muslim friend Zack and his wife Sally, it being the last chance he had to have a meal before sunset for a month.
