Agreed. That said, I was quite pleasantly surprised to hear Nancy Pelosi make an absolute, iron-clad guarantee a few days ago to fully involve Republicans in the next Congress.
I hope she keeps her word, as it would be all too easy to continue the "payback time" mode they've been in. |

This is the kind of ridiculous rhetoric that is fueling endless news cycles covering up the real issues!!!
And for the record, i wasn't defending anything, but rather showing a certain level of hypocrisy....
Abolition of habues corpus my arse!
You wanna know when there was a REAL abolition of habeus corpus??? Under President Abraham Lincoln. And he suspended it for EVERYONE!!! WIthout apology!!! Whose habeus corpus rights have we suspended? On what scale???
Democrats are gutless for a reason. They know their REAL "values" won't fly with the american populous. In a blind poll, the values extolled by Newt Gingrich were picked by more than 70% of the entire population. No name was given, no party affiliation was given. More than 70% chose what he stood for flat out.
Conversely, in an on-the-street interview (i want to say it was in Vermont of Leahy supporters) people were asked who they were voting for, and how they felt about certain issues like iraq and what we should do... then they were told how the person they were voting for (again, i think it was Leahy) felt about it and what he's said about it and how he's voted and they were COMPLETELY unaware!

Thats giving away the way democrats get elected you know...they say what the submissive will believe and do what they want anyway (usually nothing to do with the reasons people voted for them).
