| Why is Tickle Me Elmo so popular?
I'm baffled why the Tickle Me Elmo 2 Extreme or whatever is so popular...it looks like he goes into a seizure during his laugh-o-rama. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kOs3J0a2aI
My neighbor bought 15 them just to put them on eBay for Christmas...smart move on her part as they're already highly sought after. Can someone please explain why people want them so badly? I just don't get it...after about 5 seconds of hearing his laugh, I feel like chopping his head off.
Hmm...maybe people are buying him to do just that?
Any thoughts on this?

addressing your post though, our local radio station takes Elmo to the local gun range and sees how well he's built by subjecting him to automatic gun fire
Merry Christmas kiddies! |

who cares why kids like them... its not our dang decision but the kids... maybe a tad bit expensive... big whoop buy them one good toy for christmas instead of 20 crappy ones. they only have one childhood. let them enjoy it.

Wow Joko, that was a little different response then I expected from you!
We bought one for 35 bucks at Costco and resold it on eBay for 80, if the buyer actually pays some day... but I'm sure Anna would love one. |

Whoa... slow down, fireball!!!
I wasn't saying that I would avoid buying them if my kids wanted them...thankfully they don't...my thread has nothing to do with spending $$ on my kids. |

Why? So parents wont have to take care of their children so much! Supposed to keep them busy but I think all it does is dumb the children.
Its well known that parents DONT WANT children who have imaginations, can think for themselves, and are willing to go OUTSIDE to play for a few hours each day.
