| I'm starting at Northwestern's Ph.D. program this fall!!
Well, it has taken me a long time to decide, but I have come to a conclusion. I will be attending the Northwestern chemistry department for the next 5 or so years of my life! I got hooked up with everything. Tuition is paid + a monthly stipend that is enough to cover everything (housing, etc.) I'm really excited. It'll be a lot of work, but I think it will be well worth it in the end.
Wish me luck!

Congrats!!
I'm hoping to pursue a Ph.D in Political Science. But I've gotta finish my B.A first.
Anyways, congrats on the good news! And good luck. You'll need it.

zskillz,
You are one fortunate dude/dudette! When I got out of the Army many moons ago, I had the good fortune to have the G.I. Bill, which paid a monthly stipend of $250!, depending on whether or not I had a full load, 12 semester hours or more (fulltime). The State of Illinois paid my tuition for me as long as I went to a state university. Not bad. I was always a little bummed out by the fact that I couldn't afford to get into Northwestern's Kelloge school of business. For two reasons, 1) Northwestern is not a state school, 2) They didn't have an undergrad Economics program. "sigh"!
Anyway, best of luck to you. You are entering into one of the finest universities in the country. DON'T BLOW IT!!!! |

Man, that must be a great feeling! Makes me wish I hadn't blown off my studies in high school....I might've been able to say the same thing.
Best of luck to you. It won't be easy, but stick with it! |
