Has time warner ever given you the run around?

I just called today because my cable went down for 10 min yesterday, then 10 minutes earlier today, then today it was down for longer. After punching in my number I got an extended series of intervaled 'beeps' like a computer dialing, then a message that said transferring to time warner corporate headquarters. The guy that answered said after short review that my modem had been connected all day and they hadn't had any outages suggesting that it had to be either my router manufacturer or security software. i told him after verifying on 2 computers with foxfire and IE that the connection wasn't working and the router was apparently getting all it's information that I'd have to call back after getting a laptop to connect directly to it. Now keep in mind that TW has been having extended problems in my area after deciding to *upgrade* adelphia's old systems. The also had pr show up on the local news to say they definitely fixed the problem. So I'm waiting for the laptop to reboot in front of the modem and suddenly someone at TW resets it...

Who thinks TW is following plausible deniability...i really hate losing my internet, but I hate getting dicks on the phone that insist it's my network having the problem even more.

I USED to have major problems with them in NE Ohio, but they seem to be pretty stable now.

Yeah, the phone maze can be a pain and 9 times out of 10, if you have a tech problem, you REALLY get the phone runaround. And then you get someone who knows less about computers and broadband than your 10 year old son.

I just told them on any outage that I wanted a day's credit on my bill. It's not much, but better than nothing.
