Most of the ones I find are crappy static images, one build on top of google maps would be fantastic. | Have you seen these? http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/tocs_m..._rail_maps.htm
They cover all of the UK and not just England. |

I was looking at London more because they had quite a few jobs listed for PHP developers.
How would I stay there for a few months or even weeks though? I don't have a lot of funds I can pull from, and any I pull from on a visit would give me less to work with if I decide to stay there. It costs $800 USD for a round trip plane ticket, plus I am guessing it would be around $200 to stay there every day. It would be a really expensive trip.
Thanks for the link of the rails, those look pretty good. |

It may allow you to work temporarily while on the short-stay. |

But how would I get any temporary work? Is there any place that would hire someone if they were only staying for about two weeks? |

What I could use is someone who lives in the UK, has an extra room, and wouldn't mind putting up with me for a few days (maybe a week at the most), oh, and wouldn't charge me much to borrow a room. |

No, I want to move there permanently, and get a job as a PHP developer.
If I would go on a trip there for 2 weeks it would cost a lot of money is all I was saying, and that even if I legally could work there temporarily while I was visiting I don't think anyone would hire someone like that. |

Do you know if you can work legally in that 2 week period? |

No, I don't know anyone in the UK at all (other than the few who have said they do in this thread).
I don't know if I could work during that time either legally. |

Do so. |
