Netflix

Seems to me that Netflix is worse than ever. I canceled my subscription a few months ago because I ran out of movies to watch, but I started it up again a few weeks ago.

Before, usually I would get 3 sets of movies shipped in 2 weeks (2 one week, 1 the next, etc), but now I only get 1 set a week, and it seems like they are stretching it out even more (so within the next week or two, it looks like they could miss an entire week at the rate they are going).

Pretty crappy if you ask me, but at least I only have a few movies I want to see left, after that I am canceling again.

I was tempted a few times to try Netflix, but alas the reports of poor service, and the fact that I only spend $5-10 a month on rentals anyway swayed me away.

I probably wouldn't go through them if any movie rental places around here had anything even remotely to my liking (anime).

Netflix now offers DVD downloads so that you don't even have to wait for them in the mail.

I am going to sign up for a free trial account to see how well their download program is.

I have a place next to me that has a whole section of anime. Come on down! It probably won't be there long as it doesn't get a whole lot of traffic despite a huge selection and competitive prices.

We used to use neflelix also, we had good results with them, I was actually suprised with the turn around, however we canceled for another reason entirely. The local hollywood vidio had a similar program for just about the same amount of cost, We opted to go with them only because we were watching about 2 movies per day and it was easier to drop it off and grab another one.

I am suprised that others have had bad results with netfelix.

Ya, but their list of movies you can watch online is rather slim, at least for anime.

it all depends on where you are, we send em back and typically the replacement is there in 3 days. However if you're getting something rare they might be sending it from across the country rather than from your local warehouse.

I've been doing Netflix for two years now. Love it. The turnaround time is based on where the nearest Netflix is located from where you live. 90% of the time, Netflix receives my returns the day after I've mailed them and processes my next movie that same day, which I then receive the following day. If they have to send the movie from a location out of my area, it can take as long as 4-7 days. I do 3 at a time usually.

I tried their instant view for the first time last weekend, but the wait time seemed to lag too long, so I'll try it another time. Don't know if its Netflix or Comcast (which I don't love). My 3 at a time subscription includes 17 hours instant views per month. Great deal for $16.95 per month.
