Anyone ever look at Craigslist for stuff? I do once in awhile and it is really annoying that people will list their title for a cheap price but when you open it they expect A LOT more. Maybe just a personal thing, but I emailed this guy about his stereo he has listed for $1 on their and he got all pissy and wants to fight me for only offering him $1! I told him he is being unreasonable by expecting more than his asking price and now he is all upset. Kind of funny to say the least.
However, it is annoying when you open a listing to find them asking more than the price they listed in the title...just had to vent. if anyone else were to email and ask to buy the system from him for $1 I would love to hear how he responds! |

I just sent him an email. We'll see if he responds.

2 lines of thought here. One, it's a marketing ploy to get you to look at his offering. Two, people are stupid and put the wrong thing in the wrong place. I've seen it plenty, like offering a car for $14 when the actual price asked is $14,000.
Beyond that, it's not an auction site. If they don't list a price and ask for a best offer, then sky's the limit AFAIC. |

I use a little common sense and avoid those posts. You obviously know he wants more than $1.00 for the items, he's just trying to get all the traffic he can.

MAKE ME AN OFFER...LOWBALLERS DONT EVEN EMAIL YOU WILL NOT GET A REPLY...OVER $2900 WORTH
| So what would be a Lowball offer then? I think you need to be a little less nitpicky honestly. Beyond that, all you are doing is giving the guy unneeded grief. |

I offered to pay him $1 for the amp because I did not want the subs but would take the subs! |

Granted, posting anything for sale opens you up to a multitude of possibilities, but use some decorum when replying. Otherwise people will just avoid posting deals that the rest of us are happy to pay for. |

Seriously? Why even put that up there? Why not put up somewhere close to what you would like to get for the stuff? By listing it for $1 what do you think is going to happen? |
