Hah, that water to gas converter is the biggest bunch of bull I've seen in a long time. Hilarious!
One thing they forgot to mention that people are starting to believe: adding acetone/ethanol to increase your fuel economy. Gah!!! Stupidest idea ever. Those compounds aren't as stable as heptane and octane and will both corrode parts of your engine slowly over time and screw up your engine if the amounts are too high.
well it isn't total bs . it has been known for a long time that water injected into the cylinder can increase the power of the engine . the reason being is that during the compression phase the water doesn't compress . it takes up space, thus driving up the compression. so more of the of the fuel is burned in the burn phase , all the fuel injected into a cylinder is never fully burned .so you are putting less fuel into the cylinder and getting more of it to burn . so it would give you better mpg because you are injecting less gas .
i would think it takes more than what they are selling to make this all work .

Wait, so you guys are suggesting you get better fuel economy by running premium? I feel bad for your wallets...
I run 93 because my ECU is tuned for it. I have the ability to revert back to 87 if and when it becomes too expensive to keep buying it. The added timing with 93 makes for a quicker car, that's for sure.
If you have a performance car tuned for 93 out of the factory, use 93 unless you like to knock.

Exactly. Unless your car requires it from the factory, (or as stated previously, is knocking on lower octane) there are zero benefits to running anything about 87.
______
Btw, how did that tune end up going for you? You claim it's a quicker car, but how are the gains? You thinking minor numbers or are you talking more serious numbers. I would hope advancing the timing by a good margin on that 4.6L would gain you at the least 10hp/10ftlbs with a good tune.

Never had it dynoed - a "canned" tune is fine so far for me since I don't have any significant modifications. Most people found 20+ RWHP/TQ gains, not to mention improved throttle response (drive-by-wire SUCKS!). Fuel economy is unchanged.
#1 Fill your tank in the morning
#2 Change your air filter
#3 Use premium fuel
#4 Pump up your tires (Their point? Yes it helps, but not enough to offset the extra risk.)
#5 To A/C or not A/C (too little difference to matter so you might as well stay comfortable)
#6 Bolt-ons and pour-ins (such as this gadget)
The bottom line? There's no substitute for a proper maintenance and "gentle" driving to save gas.
#1.. Anytime is fine
#2..Clean air supports better and cleaner combustion Change the darn thing
#3.. Depending on the compression ratio of the engine. My 454 HAS to have Premium.
#..4..Inflating your tire to about 3-4 lbs extends treadwear with a little harsher ride. On a long trip, I find 5-6 lbs over recommended saves some fuel.
#5..Use of A/C on non-fuel injected engines sucks the mileage down significantly.
#6..A precision distributor set up for a particular motor will INCREASE gas mileage dramatically, along with the CORRECT spark plugs and a tuned exhaust system.
Example.. I went one heat range hotter plugs on my wife's Stealth and not only did the gas mileage increase but ran a whole lot better. Along with the K & N air cleaner.
