Well I'm pissed. Woke up and all the internets were down. Said "network cable unplugged". I checked - all are plugged. Switched from the Actiontec piece of crap router that Verizon provides and plugged into the old Linksys setup. The internet works on the basement computer, but not on mine. What the hell?
I guess I'll take out my anger at the gym and hopefully when I come home it'll be working. |

check your usual...
hosts file, link lites... dhcp services, static ip settings on the pcs... etc crap.

I think the Actiontec router is screwy. When I swapped the CAT-5 cables to the Linksys router, I put my line in the wrong socket - one called "uplink". I'm thinking: "why the hell is my computer the only one not working?" Well, there I go. I put it in the right socket and now she works.
I'll swap the junk back over to the Actiontec router tomorrow to see if it's working.
