With my average daily trend? I usually hold around my current weight, give or take a few pounds. Other than my occasional attempt at halfway serious dieting, my waist size and general proportions have been relatively static for many years. Thinking back, I surpassed most of my elementary school staff in build, height, and weight probably around fifth grade.

I like serious bacon. A real piece of pork, to be fried and served crisp. Compare that to the more common wafer thin, nearly transparent strip of commercial bacon that shrivels when fried.
Sliced hog jowl can be a serious bacon. Common bacon from the back, belly, or side can be cut razor thin. I have rarely ever seen much of anyone even attempt to thin slice bacon from the jowl. It is a tougher cut with substantial rind. It cuts into large slices that cook up into nicely fried crisp pieces of pork with considerable substance and flavor. |

Thanks a lot . . . ya' BUM'S!!!
I can still remember back to my younger days, when I could eat Spam, Side Pork, Head Cheese, Pork Roast, Pork Chops, Pork Rinds, etc., etc., etc.
Now, I'm stuck eating Kosher Breakfast sausage, Kosher Hot Dogs, Chicken Sausage, Beef, Chicken, and Turkey . . .
The last time I had any pork . . . was when I grilled some Cheddar Brats and ate 2 of them . . . !/2 hour later, I was on all fours trying to crawl into bed, while the room was spinning so fast I couldn't breathe . . . The good news is I didn't end up in the hospital . . . the bad news is, it took me 10 minutes to climb up onto the bed.
No more pork or pork products for me!!! (Unless it's smoked and the pork enzyme is neutralized. )
Harder

Main reason is because pigs are disgusting animals, they will eat just about anything. |

Secondly, I have an issue with the site: "the latest in green gossip". Riddle me this: if cows fart methane, which is a greenhouse gas, and people eat cows, how is not eating a cow good for the environment? You'd think the greenies would want less methane. Fewer cows = less methane, am I right? Secondly, to not eat anything from an animal, vegans are reduced to eating plants, right? Well don't plants consume CO2, which is a "global warming" gas? Fewer plants = more CO2, which means more dreaded global warming!
So, in conclusion, save the environment: eat meat! |
supply and demand. the more people that want to eat cows; more and more cows are produced, which means more methane. same with veggies, if more people become vegetarian/vegan, the more plants would be produced, more plants produced means more c02 being cut out of the enviroment.
so in conclusion, save the envirment, go vegan, drive a smart car, and wear hemp. lol. |
