I can listen to online recordings all day long, but I know what I hear when driving down the road. A stock Mustang 4.6L sounds high pitched to me. Rip out that Ford noise-limiting EPA/DOT-approved garbage, install a compatible Borla cat-back system, and enjoy the sound of a quality exhaust.

There just isn't a sound on Earth that can replicate a small block 350 with a tuned exhaust. Just isn't.

Good. Please continue to do so until futher instructed.

April 25th, 2005, 08:43 PM #44072I am more inline with a 454, hooker headers, and dual 3.5" glass packs. If I am driving a purebred American muscle car, I want everyone to know it.small block 350 with a tuned exhaustRobert Richmond | Infinite perceptions. One reality.

Still the issue of sounding good versus being obnoxious.

I love the sound of the good ole 427 Shelby Cobras.

April 25th, 2005, 08:48 PM #44076Which reminds me, my dad has a 454 in his tow truck with just straight pipes...louuuuud...lol.

One of the best setups I have heard is by brother's '55 Ford custom truck (chopped, channeled, fiberglass, etc.) with a fully built Chevy 350 with headers pulled back into two Thrush 3" mufflers. Shakes the ground.... well, it did when it was last running. It has been collecting dust for the past ten years. :/Robert Richmond | Infinite perceptions. One reality.

If purchased, I have no intentions of restoring this local 1981 Camaro. It has already been set on the path of being a street rod, so I will continue in that vane. To actually restore it would cost more than the car will ever be worth.Robert Richmond | Infinite perceptions. One reality.
