I think I should start a thread for this.

Open the OGM container file with VirtualDubMod, select stream copy for video and audio, save to AVI, and finally encode the AVI to MPEG with TMPGenc.

Whir, have you checked to see if your Barton is multiplier locked? FSB overclocking is preferred, but even a 100-200MHz jump through multiplier manipulation can make for a decent performance boost.

So, it turns out that the slow speed may have just been Roxio, because Nero is burning at 4x with no buffer problems and my computer is like "yo, 'sup?"

No, I haven't. I just assumed that it was locked.

I think the real performance boost lies in the FSB thing.

But, hm, I wonder, if it isn't multi-locked, maybe I can up the FSB and lower the multiplier and get it stable? I'll check it out after this DVD burns.

That's not a bad reality. Togusa is more of a brain than a stealthy type, but I guess you gotta give somewhere.

The fact that they rolled the Tachikomas into it is really cool.

So, we have discovered a few awesome things today.

1) Roxio sucks, Nero does not.

2) My Barton is, in fact, not mulitplier locked.

3) Unknown, but there will be something.
