Government cover up?
I suggest the book "Fatal Voyage" Pnulished a while back the author escapes me. Tells the story of the Indianapolis. They actuaklly court-martialed the captain of the ship and had the Japanesse commander of the sub that sank it testify.
I strongly suggest the reading of that book. It is a riveting, horrible tale that few are aware of.

Well, what I actually meant by cover up is the fact that they blamed it all on the Captain... what a crock.

Cruez - yup, u're right......they needed a scapegoat.
I watched the show on the History and/or Discovery channel on this...
Didn't the captain later commit suicide?

This is a totally riveting and gut-wrenching story. If you haven't read it, you should. Aside from the controversial charges against the captain, this tale is an American legend of the first stripe.
Beware the Penguinator!

Didn't like Transformers growing up. I was more into Speed Racer and DBZ.
