Using a cannon to kill a mosquito is overkill.

Buying an expensive gaming machine to play solitaire.

Buying a 65" Plasma TV to for your bedroom.

ARe a few examples.

I do more important things in the bedroom than watch TV - like sleep. But that isnt it, a 65" plasma really is overkill for a bedroom since a ~20" will do fine if its at the foot of the bed.
