I could serve a feast to two dozen people for that price. In fact, I regularly do serve one to 32 people for about $60.

12.50 for salad?
3 or 4 bucks max for a huge salad of variety!
You know, I have watched the news and looked at the local paper a few times and thought "what the heck are they thinking" in regard to these money saving tips.. TV yes it is not reality based, if it were people would get too depressed to watch. However one would think the local paper would not publish this crap in a town with around 45% of the able bodied adults not employed... |

Very funny. I know how to cook, I was a bachelor for nigh on a decade before I married my wife, and I share the chores.
Making a healthy meal for a family at home doesnt take more than $1 maybe $4 per person per meal unless you want to splurge on expensive unecessary extras.
This "chef" is pricing " her meals 3x to 6x more expensive than a good healthy meal needs to be AND calling it a "new lower budget". Now if she were able to produce almost the exact same type of meal for ~$10 THAT would be a lower budget meal
You paid almost $7 for a burger meal ?? I forget, some (really really rich) people can afford such luxuries.

Well if you are making in bulk (my mom's wedding soup recipe that makes a couple of gallons for alot less than the $35 they aim for) then it isn't that hard...
