MA seniors fight back against the food nazis

Keep your stinkin' hands off our donuts!!

So say senior citizens in a Massachusetts community, whose town council wants to replace the doughnuts and pastries for the Senior Center's morning coffee club with carrot sticks.

Betty Bushee, 67, a Senior Center regular, told The Telegram & Gazette of Worcester that no one has the right to tell seniors what to eat.
    Go get 'em, Betty!!

That's just dumb. They're seniors. What harm could it do?
    You can't fix stupidity.

My 92 year old mother was diagnosed as "borderline" diabetic. The assisted care living facility she was in gave her a diabetic diet. Mom almost starved to death. She wouldn't eat it. She was allowed back onto a regular diet and has gained weight!
